Delivery and Returns
We will notify you by email as soon as possible to acknowledge receipt of your order. If we are unable to fulfil your order following this acknowledgement, we will contact you by email or telephone advising you of this. Our acceptance of your order will take place upon despatch of the product(s) ordered. If you require any information concerning your order please email us at email@example.com. We may not accept your order if we have identified a product or pricing error or if we are unable to obtain authorisation for your payment. Please note that we reserve the right to reject any offer to purchase by you at any time.
Please note that we aim to despatch orders the day after you place them on a 48 hour tracked service with Royal Mail. Should you require your order sooner please add a note with your order and we will aim to get this to you sooner if we have the products baked and ready.
We prepare to ship your goods once we have received credit card authorisation. In the event that a card is refused, we will e-mail you and ask you to supply another card or to contact your bank to arrange clearance. Our terms do not affect your statutory rights.
We currently only deliver to mainland UK, highlands & islands.
Any delivery timescales are indicative only. We’re unable to guarantee delivery dates for Royal Mail and Airmail services. If your package is being delivered via First Class or Airmail then we aim to dispatch during the week that you’ve selected at the checkout, but we are unable to guarantee delivery dates as these delivery methods are not time guaranteed services.
We will attempt delivery to an address and postcode as you enter it and cannot accept liability for late or failed delivery due to an incorrect address. Lottie Shaw’s does not accept any liability whatsoever for delayed delivery caused by a third party.

You should inspect the products upon receipt and check that everything specified is included & that there are no damages. You will be deemed to have accepted the order unless you notify us within 48 hours of receipt of the goods that there is a problem or you cancel your order in acceptance with your cancellation right and/or you return the goods in accordance with our returns policy and procedure. If you fail to take such action, we are not obligated to accept any rejection by you of the goods at a later date.
On receipt of returned goods we can organise a refund for the purchase price or provide replacement goods at no cost to you. If we provide replacement goods we will be deemed to have complied with our obligations under the contract and no claim can arise out of your rejection of the original goods.
We recommend returning your parcel with proof of posting. We regret that we cannot reimburse the cost of postage unless the items are faulty or are delivered in error. We will refund or exchange your order once it is received by us.
If you change your mind after placing an order, you may cancel your order before it is baked and despatched by calling us on +44 (0)1422 372335. Providing we have not started baking your order we will offer you a full refund.
Under the Distance Selling Directive, you may also cancel your order within seven working days of delivery. This doesn’t apply to food and beverages or any item made specifically for you. To cancel your order and receive a refund, you must confirm this in writing and return the item within two weeks of receipt and in its original packaging to: Lottie Shaw’s Bakery, 84 Southgate, Elland, West Yorkshire, HX5 0EP.
Credit/Debit Card – Lottie Shaw’s accept: UK Maestro, UK Solo, Mastercard, Visa Credit, UK Visa Debit, UK Visa Electron, Maestro International, UK Debit Mastercard, Commercial Card and J.C.B. Payment Payment will be debited from your account at the point at which your order is placed. You confirm that the credit or debit card being used is yours. Please note that all credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the issuer of the card. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to pay or does not for any reason authorise payment to Lottie Shaw’s we will not be liable for delay or non-delivery of goods.
Cheque – please make cheques payable to Lottie Shaw’s – we will despatch goods once your cheque has cleared.
We retain the legal ownership of all goods until full payment has been made by you and received by us and legal ownership of the goods will immediately transfer back to us if we refund any payment for the goods to you. Risk in the goods transfers to you upon delivery.
