Our Seriously Good Yorkshire Parkin is baked to our 100 year old family recipe. It won Best Bakery Product 2014 and Supreme Product in the Deliciously Yorkshire Awards and has just won a 2018 Great Taste Award.
One of the Seriously Good things about our Yorkshire Parkin is that the treacle in the recipe caramelises and hardens during baking, so before it leaves the bakery it is kept for a few days to allow it to “come again” – this is where the caramel softens giving each piece the perfect crumbly stickiness.
There are no artificial life enhancing ingredients in our Yorkshire Parkin yet the syrup preserves the cake for up to 12 weeks.
There are various ways to enjoy Yorkshire Parkin. Spread it with a little butter and enjoy with a cup of tea, or eat it as a pudding with our delicious caramel sauce.
We have sourced sustainable packaging so the outer box can be recycled.
