Yorkshire Parkin
Our family have been baking Yorkshire Parkin for over a century in the heart of Yorkshire, and we are extremely proud of our award-winning recipe. This regional sticky ginger cake is baked using flour, medium course oatmeal, black treacle, syrup and ground ginger creating the authentic taste of Yorkshire.
One of the seriously good things about our Yorkshire Parkin is that the syrup and treacle in the recipe caramelise and harden during baking, in keeping with tradition, before each cake leaves the bakery it is allowed to ‘come again’ - this is where the caramel softens giving each piece the perfect crumbly stickiness.
