Previous winner, we are delighted to receive 2022 award for our authentic Yorkshire Parkin.

Steeped in Yorkshire heritage with origins as a regional bonfire delicacy, we are incredibly proud to continue to honour our 100 year old family Yorkshire Parkin recipe, still baked from scratch in our Yorkshire craft bakery celebrating our treasured and much-loved sticky ginger cake. Now our Yorkshire Parkin is enjoyed all year round, nationwide, as a humble slab with a cuppa, pride of place buttered on an afternoon tea stand, or a favourite family pudding warmed and drizzled with our caramel sauce and a dollop of cream.

"This cake feels very well-made and considered. The balance of flavours is pretty good, with those black treacle notes delivering a complex sweetness."

Lottie Shaw's Sloe Gin Fruit Cake ⭐️ Great Taste Award Winner 2022

Our small batch seasonally baked Sloe Gin fruit cake, is a true festive Yorkshire collaboration. Combine our family traditional fruit cake recipe with fruit lovingly soaked in Yorkshire Hedgerow Sloe Gin which is foraged and distilled by Sloemotion in Yorkshire and you have a very special fruit cake. 

Meanwhile here's why Judges awarded a ⭐️ Great Taste Award 2022...

"A fruit cake that is packed full of fruit and has a very generous appeal! A really rich, dense and moist texture that is truly pleasing on the eye. A boozy richness on the nose with a clever texture that is bold yet not heavy. The soaked fruit is juicy, succulent and packed full of flavour with a buttery crumb that adds further layers of taste. The hedgerow gin just lifts and cuts through the more intense fruity flavours with its aromatic and vibrant flavour. This cake draws you in, is exceptionally moreish and could be placed in the middle of the table as a crowd pleaser. A hefty wedge of cheddar would be a perfect accompaniment."
